GETTING TO WONDERLAND
(a.k.a. How to reach my Pawrents’ Big Day)
Hello, it’s me, Lola McNugget, your official wedding correspondent and the most important guest.
If you’re coming from far away to celebrate my hoomans’ love, the nearest airport is Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
For details on how to get from YVR to the wedding venue, scroll down!
GETTING FROM YVR TO SQUAMISH
-
Taking a cab may be the fastest way, but it’s also the quickest way to shrink your wallet.
Hard pass!
-
This is my top pick! It’s affordable, super comfy, and the buses run right on schedule.
Hot tip: Choose to sit on the left side of the bus. The scenery from the Sea to Sky highway of the glacial fjords, snow-capped mountains and islands is jaw dropping.
Your options are:
YVR Skylynx (leaves directly from the airport)
Squamish Connector (leaves from Downtown Vancouver – Stop Name: Waterfront Station)
-
Download the Poparide app, Canada’s largest carpooling platform. You can book rides a few days in advance, and it's by far the most affordable option.
Tip: The Squamish Connector is listed on Poparide, and it’s much cheaper than booking directly through their website.
-
This option gives you plenty of freedom and flexibility but comes at a higher cost.
The wedding venue is quite far from town, and public transportation in Squamish is virtually nonexistent. If you're planning to stay in Squamish for a few days after the wedding, renting a car is your best bet.
Important to note:
Most car rentals must be picked up and returned in Vancouver—there are no car rental services in Squamish.
GETTING TO THE WEDDING VENUE

Once in Squamish, the farm, nestled deep in the valley is still a 25 minute drive away from downtown.
There are no Ubers in Squamish. You will have to call a cab the old school way. Some of them have websites from where you can book online such as Squamish Taxi.
-
Let me know your bus / Poparide timings, and I’ll arrange a ride for you! (Yes, I have hooman chauffeurs at my disposal.)
If you’re taking the bus, select "Squamish Adventure Centre" as your drop-off location so we can scoop you up from there!
-
If you’re driving down, make sure to load the location on your navigation app while you’re still in town (Squamish). Once you start venturing into the valley, cell service goes woof—and the farm? No network, just nature!
